NC Vineyard tour
It all started when...
They took me to JOLO. My first few weeks in Winston Salem, NC and my coworkers invited me to JOLO Vineyard. My friend Ashley Bryson was in town and we said "What the heck? Wine sounds fun, the mountains are pretty, let's go visit." Well one tasting later and a custom JOLO wine glass later, I joined as a member and the rest is history. Once we had spent enough money at JOLO (kind of kidding, kind of serious) we asked if there was another vineyard around. They had a bunch to recommend and we quickly realized just how many vineyards are around my neck of the woods!
We visited 4 vineyards that day for tastings. All very different in atmosphere, all different wines, but we left each with a custom glass and a lesson on what our taste in wine actually is. Per usual, I put our adventures all over social media because we had so much fun I wanted to share! All my friends and family started telling me they wanted to come visit me and go to the vineyards around. The more I've gone, the larger my collection of glasses has grown and the more I've learned about wine. I've met some incredible people who own and work at these vineyards and they've given me incredible insight into this area of the North Carolina Mountains I now call home.
On my most recent vineyard trip (with my parents), I was gifted a complete list of Yadkin Valley vineyards! With that, I've decided I want to visit every vineyard in the area and stock my cabinet with all of the beautiful, custom glasses. Every vineyard has memories with whoever I go with and whoever I meet, so this will be a very special and fun fulled journey! I'm going to review all of the vineyards on here for anyone who may want to visit the area, and maybe entice a few more friends to come visit me at the same time ;) If you know of one up here, holla at me and I'll go try it! The invite is also always open for people to come with me! There are 70+ vineyards, so if you can keep up, I'll let you in on some of North Carolina's best little treasures.
